Kris Walpus

Kris Walpus, LIMHP RPT, is part of the children, adolescent and family treatment team at the Attachment and Trauma Center of Nebraska in Omaha.

Kris has had over six years of professional experience in individual, family and group therapy focusing on issues of attachment, anxiety, A.D.H.D., trauma, foster and adopted families. She specializes in counseling very young children, ages 18 months to 5 years old, and their families with a focus on attachment & bonding. As a registered play therapist she has had specialized training in Theraplay techniques and parent/child assessments from the Chicago's Institute of Theraplay. Kris has spoken at parent support groups in Omaha and is a facilitator at the Attachment & Trauma Center of Nebraska in the Facilitating Attachment in Children with Trauma parenting classes.

Kris graduated from Prescott College’s Master’s program of Counseling and Psychology with a master’s degree in Expressive Art Therapy that includes play therapy.
